About

A little about me…let’s do this:

What I do–acquisition marketing, retention marketing, retargeting, affiliate management, PPC management, competitive analysis, social branding, blogging, content creation & reputation management…all while constantly drinking strong dark coffee.

Where you can find me–Director of Acquisition Marketing and Retention at www.SEOmoz.org, Co-Founder of www.YourJobStop.com, blogger for www.socialmedia.biz, contract consulting for paid & social clients, speaking at gigs like Dreamforce, SearchLove, DOMAINfest, PubCon Hawaii, MozCon, SMX East, SMX Advanced, PubCon Vegas, PubCon South, SEMpdx, and SearchExchange. I also like to occasionally throw in my two cents at SearchEngineLand.com, SearchEngineWatch.com & {enter your blog here–if you think I have something your audience wants to hear}.

Why I am worth engaging with–I love it. I love the media craze, the buzz words, the insanity that comes with a perfectly placed tweet at 2 am. I’m hypnotized by excel spreadsheets & fascinated by the fact that my life is spent wandering a cloud created by a few dudes not too long ago. It’s a beautiful time to be where we are–on the Interwebz, and if I do say so myself (which I am going to), I do all of this pretty well. So if you want to talk about it, let’s do it. If you want to debate about something, I’m down. And if you want to hire someone to drive traffic to your site via paid & social channels…well let’s get after it.

Who I really am–other than all of that online business I’m also an East Coast lady who found herself wandering the West Coast. I completed my B.A. in Journalism (I like research) and my M.A. in Online Media Studies & Persuasion (I like to persuade people) with a professional background that falls in a variety of verticals–shopping, travel, beauty, fashion, and software. When I’m not working, I’m usually enjoying a gin & tonic with my friends, watching the sunset, and reminding myself how freaking blessed I am.

How do you connect with me–Well coming here was a good start. Other than hitting me up at joanna.lord@gmail.com, you can also link up with me, tweet at me, friend me, or just Google me.

In all seriousness–I pride myself in always being up for collaboration so if you have a speaking gig you think I’d be a good fit for, a project you need a seasoned consultant for, or you just want to bounce back and forth ideas–I’m the lady for you. Let’s start the dialog shall we?
